In the lead up to Accountex, I’ve been wondering what’s in store for this year’s conference as we navigate Making Tax Digital.

Accountex is the industry event of the year, designed to arm you with everything you need to stay ahead and understand the latest technology driving efficiency and growth in the accountancy and finance industry.

In the lead up to Accountex, I’ve been wondering what’s in store for this year’s conference as we navigate Making Tax Digital and look ahead at what’s to come. It will be interesting to see what the larger software firms such as Xero, Sage and Intuit are doing to separate themselves and stand out from the rest. It’s also a great opportunity for MarketInvoice and other industry-leading fintechs to showcase what they can do to support UK businesses as they grow and scale.

With stats showing that more than 70,000 businesses are now signed up to Making Tax Digital, (the majority of which have done so themselves), it’s a great sign for our digital age. Technology is driving efficiency and helping organisations scale rapidly. Indeed more and more accountants are embracing technological innovation; not just for their own efficiency but also that of their clients.

Despite the requirement to maintain digital records that came into play on 1st April, I know many accountants whose clients remain hesitant in embracing change. Even in 2019, paper receipts stored in plastic bags and shoe boxes are still a reality! As an industry we need to work together to shift the mindset of businesses, encouraging them to welcome digital innovation with open arms and take action to make it happen.

At MarketInvoice, we work with thousands of accountants and bookkeepers to make business finance quick and easy for their small business clients. With our flexible invoice finance solutions your clients can pick and choose which invoices to fund, unlocking cash as and when they need to.

Our online platform and integration with a variety of accounting software packages enables businesses to apply in minutes and effortlessly manage their facility once setup. This smart technology is backed by help from real people so your clients can get on with growing their business.

We all know that great accounting is more than just number crunching. A client will never forget the accountant that helped them access funding to invest in growth, take on game-changing projects or develop innovative new products.

Come visit MarketInvoice at Accountex on stand 1176 to discuss how we can partner to unlock working capital, boost cash flow and accelerate growth for your small business clients.

We closed off the 2022 conference circuit with Barclays’ final Regional Roadshow in Bristol. It was a lovely way to see off the last week before Christmas, especially because it was our first Barclays Roadshow as Kriya!

If the research that’s been conducted in recent years has made anything clear, it’s that small businesses need their accountants to be trusted advisers.
